This is the GUI you get when started. You have 4 options Explorer, Experimenter, KnowledgeFlow and Simple CLI. Detail on each module is in my next post. Comment if you have any doubts.

How to Install KNIME a Text Data Mining tool on Windows 7 64-bit

     

Download the software as your requirements from the below given link 
                         http://www.knime.org/node/81 

             

                    Then open the file location and double click on the file

                     

                After Clicking Run it will ask for Folder to Unzip the file you can make a file in desired location and click OK.

 

 

      

     After Choosing the folder location click on Extract. ( Wait for a minute while it's Extracting )

   

    After extraction open the file location you will have a folder called knime_2.8.1 open that folder you will have all configuration, jre, plugins etc., and all other files. Then Click on knime.exe file to start installation.

  
 

     After clicking the knime.exe it will ask for a location option for your workspace. if you want you can change it. i am not changing here. The Windows ask for access then click Allow access.

      

     So, You are ready to do mining.
